Was so busy planning for Erion's 1st birthday party that I got no time to blog. Now that it's over, I have more time to update. =D of coz, im doing a blog entry on Erion's birthday!

I started planning his birthday few months back coz I need to source for the enquire on his birthday cake, dessert bar items, design his banner, do his invitation cards etc..

First was banner. I searched for the background, made up the borders by myself. Combined mickey & friends picture together into 1 photo. Did the wordings and filled in the font colors by myself.

My initial design was this.

The person sent the preview for me like this.. I rejected.

Then he amended to this. If you look closely, u can see the difference from my originally one. But alas, I said ok and he sent for printing.

Next, I did the invitation cards. My design was this.

Baobao printed it in his office BUT I forgotten to install the font into his computer. Thus, ALL THE FONT ARE DIFFERENT. =( And he didn't realised it when he open the document!!

The week before his birthday celebration, I started sourcing for the plates, bought sweets and chocolate, do up the label cards. And I bake the surgar cookies the night before party. Pack the popcorns on the day of the party. Pasted the label stickers on sugar cookies and popcorns.

Here's my sugar cookies. This was my 1st attempt on this recipes and it turn out well! I prepared the dough and chill overnight(24hrs), bake it on the next night.

And honey joys on Saturday's morning. 

You can't believe I actually enquire for about 10 (or maybe more) bakery shops(home based & stalls) for the best ideal cake! Finally settle with BAKER'S HEART. And I'm extremely satisfied with the cake, not only it look beautiful, the cake taste so yummy, and the chef is such a nice guy. Excellent service I would say. And its not expensive too!

Party starts at 7pm.. I ordered 65pax for the buffet. And we fried finger food such as nuggets, karaage chicken, mini sausage, fishballs and made potato salads. Of coz, with BBQ food as well. The weather was simply good on that day. No rain at all and wasn't very sunny too. 

I was expecting Erion to be cranky and would probably be crying and crying  when he sees alot of strangers wanting to carry him. But he did not! He was just being quiet which was considered good.

He received 4 birthday presents and the rest were angbao. Luckily the presents are not many and not too big if not we will have hard time carrying it back.

The only regret I had for this party was...not taking more photos with my guests!!
