Thought of baking a cake for Baobao on this Valentine's Day but thinking it is too time consuming and too much work to be done, I decided to make something simpler,  the chocolate tart!

Just nice I've got this heart shape tin which I bought it few years back to bake a durian cake for Baobao's birthday but failed in that baking coz everything is too sweet and the cake got burnt! Since then, the tin was left in the kitchen cabinet forever~~ Haha!

Alright, so starting with the ingredients..

1) Digestive biscuits 150gm

2) Whipping cream. 70gm

3) Dark couverture chocolate. 175gm

4) Unsalted butter 70gm & 20gm respectively.

5) A punnet of strawberries

step 1 -  Put the disgestive biscuits in a ziplock bag and crush it till all crumbly and fine.

step 2 - Melt the 70gm butter using a double boil method.

step 3 - Pour the melted butter into the crushed biscuits in ziplock bag and mix well. Make sure all crumbs are coated with the melted butter.

step 4 - Pour the biscuits mixture into the baking tin with baking paper line around nicely (for easy removal once the tart is done), press the biscuit crumbs hard and tight to create the tart base. Chill it in the freezer for 30mins.

step 5 - Melt the dark couverture chocolate using the double boil method. Once slightly melted, add in the whipping cream. stir well.

Step 6 - Pour the chocolate mixture into a bowl, put in the 20gm butter, stir till the butter melted and you will see a glossy and smooth result.

step 7 - Pour the mixture into the tin. chilled in freezer again for 30mins.

Step 8 - Remove the tart by pulling up the baking paper and tart gently. Place the tart on a plate. Decorate it with strawberries.

The edges of my tart are not perfect coz I did not line the baking sheet properly. LOL. You may use other fruits besides strawberries.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO EVERYONE!
